Giving Back: Little Gurus donates a portion of all proceeds to The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), The Nation's Resource Center for Child Protection. Every year in America, an estimated 800,000 children are reported missing, more than 2,000 children each day.
NCMEC has played a role in the recovery of more than 138,500 children. Today more children come home safely than ever before and more of those who prey upon children are being identified and prosecuted. Yet too many children are still missing and too many children are still the victims of sexual exploitation. There is much more that needs to be done.

Our Story… When I was pregnant with my first child, many of my elders offered advice for raising children. With the best of intentions, a few of them added that they wished me the best of luck “since today is a much scarier time to bring a child into the world.” So I asked myself, “Does it have to be? What can we do as parents, teachers, and businesses to help make the world a better place and build a positive future for our children?” Thus, the idea for Little Gurus was born. When Margaret, a like-minded caring spirit and experienced entrepreneur, heard the idea she jumped on board immediately and we were on our way.
In creating our designs, we looked to the past to inspire the future, and chose quotes from some of history’s most important leaders and teachers. “Guru” means teacher in Sanskrit. These gurus led their lives with honor and in doing so delivered universal, timeless messages of wisdom. We hope to inspire anyone who sees our shirts and reads these quotes to be better people, to live right, and to practice “ahimsa” (non-harming) toward others and our planet. Most importantly, we know that if we can instill these positive messages into the open, loving minds of our children and teach them to lead by example, our “Little Gurus” will help make this world a better place.
Little Gurus is a spiritually-minded company providing high-quality, hip clothing for children. Our logo is a mandala, an unending circular pattern representing the infinite flow of energy between all beings everywhere. An internal flame representing the divine light in all beings rests inside a lotus flower, a universal symbol for consciousness. As a company we strive to practice right thought, word, intention and action to release positive energy into the world. When possible, we select earth-friendly materials and processes, such as 100% organic cotton for many of our products and recycled paper for labeling, packaging, and other paper needs.
Overall, we continue to keep the bright future of the children of the world, at the forefront of our minds. As we make business decisions we’ll ask ourselves, “how will it impact them?”
